Welcome to Woman on a Mission. I’m Roslyn, a.k.a. Roz! I’m a mother of 2 sweet little boys (who are both wild at times), Hezekiah & Ezekiel. I’m a loyal friend, daughter, auntie, and just like you in many ways.
How many can relate with me when I say life has thrown you more than one curve ball?, and often times we strike-out! I come from a Christian background, however I have steered off that path many times only to end up right back where I started from.
I’ve been mentally, physically, and emotionally abused. I’ve suffered with depression, anxiety, addictions, and insecurities. I’m not perfect by any means, however I strive to be Jesus With a Face (like the first lady at my church would say). Even though my intentions are good, sometimes I fall short because no one is perfect. God often doesn’t call the qualified, he qualifies the CALLED.
How did it all start?
I started a Facebook group called “Woman on a Mission” at the end of 2016 while battling postpartum depression with my now 2 year old son, Hezekiah aka (King). I never thought, I would be the one to get it, but I did. While going through postpartum, A lot more negative things started happening in my life and around me. I’ve always been one to keep things bottled up inside and then, you got it “explode”.
As women we put so much weight on ourselves and yet we always try to “keep it together”. We beat ourselves up about not being the perfect mom, the most spiritual friend, the patient wife, etc.. With “Woman on a Mission” I want to encourage and uplift every female to become who Jesus created them to be. We get so lost in trying to do for the world and carry the weight of the world, sometimes more often than not, we neglect ourselves.
I want to help the next woman in life find herself, if she hasn’t and encourage and help her to become who God created her to be. We’ve all fallen short but no matter where you are in life, it is NEVER too late to accomplish what you want.
I’m here to encourage, uplift, and empower the next woman in letting YOU know you CAN do all things through Christ who Strengthens You.
One thing about me is, I continue to press through the hard times and I keep Jesus at the Center because he never fails me, even when I fail myself. I want you to OVERCOME and be the WOMAN you were destined to BE!
